The fastest reset in the bag — face, body, or both.

There is a specific hour I made this for: you have landed, you are going straight to something, and you have about forty seconds. A mist was the only format that fit — nothing to rub in, nothing to wash off, no mirror required. Close your eyes, two presses, and you look and feel like you slept.

Aloe leads the formula, with glycerin, cucumber and sea buckthorn extracts and oat protein behind it, so it hydrates on contact and leaves a soft dewy finish rather than a damp one. It dries down without tackiness and without disturbing whatever is underneath, which is what makes it usable over makeup as readily as on bare skin. Alcohol-free, so it hydrates instead of evaporating and taking moisture with it. The same two presses work on the face, the body, or both in the same thirty seconds.

Scented with Signature Essential Oil Blend No. 2 — bergamot mint, coriander, lavender, and pinyon pine. Brighter and greener than Blend No. 1, because a mid-day reset should wake you up rather than wind you down.

The same formula as our Face & Body Cleansing Wipes. Our wipes are saturated with this exact mist formula, which is deliberate: cleanse with a wipe, follow with the mist, and you are layering one formula rather than stacking two that argue with each other. Nothing competes, nothing doubles up.

Blended by a certified aromatherapist, trained at the New York Institute of Aromatic Studies (now the School for Aromatic Studies), in the French apothecary tradition of rigorous essential oil formulation and the English holistic approach to skin, body, and mind.

How to use

  • Hold six inches from the face, close your eyes, two to three presses in a sweeping motion
  • Over makeup to refresh without disturbing it — resist the urge to blot
  • On the body after a workout, a class, or a flight — arms, chest, the back of the neck
  • As a setting spray once makeup is finished, letting it air dry rather than patting
  • After a cleansing wipe, to rehydrate with the same formula you just cleansed with
  • Before your oil or balm, so both go onto damp skin and absorb better
  • On the inner wrists when you need the scent more than the hydration

Let it air dry. Patting it in defeats the purpose and leaves the finish uneven. If you are wearing a full face, two presses is plenty; three is for bare skin. Shake gently before the first use of the day, avoid spraying directly into the eyes, and keep it out of prolonged direct sun so the botanicals stay stable.

Why it works

  • Instant hydration for face and body with a luminous, non-greasy finish
  • Aloe, sea buckthorn, and cucumber extracts to comfort tight, depleted skin
  • Works as a facial mist, body spray, or setting spray
  • Absorbs quickly, leaves no residue
  • Bright, grounding aroma that shifts your mood in seconds

Transparency

Formulated to EU cosmetic safety standards. The formula was assessed by an independent European safety assessor, and every fragrance allergen above the European disclosure threshold — linalool, limonene and geraniol — is named in the ingredient list rather than hidden inside the word fragrance. As a US brand, we were required to do neither. Essential oils are potent, and anyone who reacts to a specific one deserves to be able to find it on the label.

This formula contains water, so it contains preservatives, and we name them. Phenoxyethanol, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate, supported by glyceryl caprylate and a radish root ferment, held within the limits set by EU Annex V. Any water-based product that skips a preservative system is either not telling you something or not safe to keep in a warm bag for six months. Phenoxyethanol appears on some clean-beauty exclusion lists; we use it anyway, at a low level, because it protects a product you spray near your eyes and we would rather be accurate than fashionable.

Alcohol-free is a formulation decision, not a marketing line. Alcohol would make this dry faster and feel lighter on the skin. It would also carry water off the surface as it evaporates, which is the opposite of what a hydrating mist is for. We took the slower dry-down.

Dermatologist tested, and cruelty-free under Leaping Bunny certification. Leaping Bunny audits the supply chain rather than accepting a supplier’s word for it, which is the part of the certification that costs something.

Made in the USA, vegan, with no animal-derived ingredients anywhere in the formula.

What we do not claim. We do not call this product natural, non-toxic, or organic. It contains certified organic ingredients, marked with an asterisk in the full ingredient list, which is a smaller and different statement than being a certified organic product — and we are not going to blur the two. Non-toxic and all-natural have no agreed definition in cosmetics, so they tell you nothing. This is a cosmetic: it hydrates, refreshes and comforts skin. It does not treat any condition, and we will not imply otherwise.

The complete ingredient list is above, unabridged. Nothing is summarized, grouped, or left out. This is not a finished piece of work — we are still improving what we disclose and how, and we will keep updating this page as we do, including the parts that do not flatter us.

What each ingredient does, in plain terms. These are cosmetic effects — how the mist hydrates, comforts and finishes on the skin.

  • Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice — the base of the formula rather than water, so it hydrates on contact.
  • Glycerin — draws moisture to the skin and helps it stay there, leaving skin feeling soft and plump.
  • Cucumber and Sea Buckthorn Extracts — comfort tight, depleted skin and leave it feeling calm.
  • Hydrolyzed Oat Protein — conditions and supports the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
  • Coconut-derived ingredients — gentle and mild, which is why the formula suits sensitive skin.
  • Alcohol-free — so it hydrates rather than evaporating and taking moisture with it.
  • Essential Oil Blend No. 2 — bergamot mint, coriander, lavender and pinyon pine. Brighter and greener than Blend No. 1, because a mid-day reset should wake you up rather than wind you down.

Fragrance allergens naturally present in the essential oils are declared by name in the full ingredient list, so anyone who reacts to a specific one can find it.

One mist, face and body. Hold it back from the skin and let it land, then let it air dry.

  • Hold six inches from the face, close your eyes, two to three presses in a sweeping motion.
  • Over makeup to refresh without disturbing it — resist the urge to blot.
  • On the body after a workout, a class, or a flight — arms, chest, the back of the neck.
  • As a setting spray once makeup is finished, letting it air dry rather than patting.
  • After a cleansing wipe, to rehydrate with the same formula you just cleansed with.
  • Before your oil or balm, so both go onto damp skin and absorb better.
  • On the inner wrists when you need the scent more than the hydration.

How much. Two to three presses is a full application. Let it air dry instead of patting it in, and follow with oil or balm while skin is still damp if you are layering.

Notes. Shake gently before each use so the essential oils are evenly dispersed. Avoid direct contact with the eyes. It is alcohol-free, so it hydrates rather than evaporating and taking moisture with it.
