Clean skin — face and body — without a bathroom.

Ten hours in the air, a red-eye, a gym with a line for the sink. I stopped pretending I would get to a proper cleanse and started carrying something that worked without water. These are that, made properly rather than as an afterthought.

One wipe cleanses face, hands and body with no water anywhere in sight. Gentle glucoside cleansers and coconut-derived sodium cocoyl glutamate lift oil, dust, sweat, light makeup and city grime without the tightness that comes after most wipes, and hydrating plant extracts — aloe, sea buckthorn and cucumber — stay behind on the skin. The cloth is substantial enough for the body, not just the face, which is what separates it from a facial wipe that falls apart on a forearm.

The same formula as our Face & Body Mist. These wipes are saturated with our mist formula, not a separate cleansing solution. That is deliberate: wipe, then mist, and you are layering one formula rather than stacking two that argue with each other. Same ingredients, same scent, no competition.

Individually wrapped, ten to a pack, so they go in a bag without drying out and you take only what the trip requires.

Scented with Signature Essential Oil Blend No. 2 — bergamot mint, coriander, lavender, and pinyon pine. Brighter and greener than Blend No. 1, because a mid-day reset should wake you up rather than wind you down.

Blended by a certified aromatherapist, trained at the New York Institute of Aromatic Studies (now the School for Aromatic Studies), in the French apothecary tradition of rigorous essential oil formulation and the English holistic approach to skin, body, and mind.

How to use

  • Unfold fully and wipe over the face, working from the center outward — no water and no rinse needed
  • Then the same wipe over neck, chest, arms or underarms, using the clean side
  • Before reapplying makeup, to start from a clean surface instead of building on the day
  • After a flight, a class, or a long day of being outside
  • Hands before eating when there is no sink
  • Follow with the Face & Body Mist to rehydrate with the same formula
  • Finish with the Face & Body Oil or the Multipurpose Balm to seal, depending on how dry skin feels

One wipe is enough for a face; use the clean side for a second pass or for the body. Not intended for eye makeup removal, and not designed as a hand sanitizer — this is a cleanser rather than an antibacterial product.

Why it works

  • Cleanses face and body without water, alcohol, or residue
  • Hydrates and softens with botanical and coconut-derived ingredients
  • A cloth substantial enough for the body, soft enough for the face
  • Gentle enough for sensitive skin
  • The same formula as the Face & Body Mist, so cleansing and rehydrating layer cleanly
  • Grounding, green aroma from Blend No. 2
  • Ten individually wrapped single wipes, so one goes anywhere

Transparency

Formulated to EU cosmetic safety standards. The formula was assessed by an independent European safety assessor, and every fragrance allergen above the European disclosure threshold — linalool, limonene and geraniol — is named in the ingredient list rather than hidden inside the word fragrance. As a US brand, we were required to do neither. Essential oils are potent, and anyone who reacts to a specific one deserves to be able to find it on the label.

The same formula as the Face & Body Mist — literally the same. Not a wipe variant, not a reformulation. One ingredient list, two formats. Compare the two labels and they match line for line.

It contains water, so it contains preservatives, and we name them. Phenoxyethanol, potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate, supported by glyceryl caprylate and a radish root ferment, held within the limits set by EU Annex V. A saturated cloth sitting in a bag for months is exactly the environment a preservative system exists for. Phenoxyethanol appears on some clean-beauty exclusion lists; we use it anyway, at a low level, because an unpreserved wet wipe is not a cleaner product, it is a riskier one.

On the word biodegradable. The cloth is biodegradable. The individual wrapper that keeps it from drying out is made from recycled material rather than virgin plastic, but it is not biodegradable, and we are still looking for a version that is. Single-wrapping is what lets a ten-pack survive three months in a bag instead of turning into a dry sheet, and we would rather name that trade-off than let one word on the front carry both halves of it.

What this is not. Not an eye makeup remover, and not a hand sanitizer. It is a cleanser, not an antibacterial product, and we are not going to let the format imply otherwise.

Dermatologist tested, and cruelty-free under Leaping Bunny certification. Leaping Bunny audits the supply chain rather than accepting a supplier’s word for it, which is the part of the certification that costs something.

Made in the USA, vegan, with no animal-derived ingredients anywhere in the formula.

What we do not claim. We do not call this product natural, non-toxic, or organic. It contains certified organic ingredients, marked with an asterisk in the full ingredient list, which is a smaller and different statement than being a certified organic product — and we are not going to blur the two. Non-toxic and all-natural have no agreed definition in cosmetics, so they tell you nothing. This is a cosmetic: it cleanses, hydrates and comforts skin. It does not treat any condition, and we will not imply otherwise.

The complete ingredient list is above, unabridged. Nothing is summarized, grouped, or left out. This is not a finished piece of work — we are still improving what we disclose and how, and we will keep updating this page as we do, including the parts that do not flatter us.

The wipes are saturated with the same formula as our Face & Body Mist, so the ingredients do the same work — with gentle cleansers added to lift the day off the skin.

  • Caprylyl Glucoside and Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate — mild, coconut-derived cleansers that lift oil, dust, sweat and light makeup without the tightness that follows most wipes.
  • Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice — the base of the formula rather than water, so the wipe hydrates as it cleanses.
  • Glycerin — draws moisture to the skin and helps it stay there.
  • Cucumber and Sea Buckthorn Extracts — comfort tight, depleted skin and leave it feeling calm.
  • Hydrolyzed Oat Protein — conditions and supports the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
  • The cloth — soft enough for the face and substantial enough for the body, which is what separates it from a facial wipe that falls apart on a forearm.
  • Essential Oil Blend No. 2 — bergamot mint, coriander, lavender and pinyon pine. The same scent as the mist, so cleansing and rehydrating layer cleanly.
  • Not a sanitizer — this is a cleanser. It is not an antibacterial product and is not intended for eye makeup removal.

Fragrance allergens naturally present in the essential oils are declared by name in the full ingredient list, so anyone who reacts to a specific one can find it.

One wipe, face and body. Face first, then the same wipe on the clean side for everything else.

  • Unfold fully and wipe over the face, working from the center outward — no water and no rinse needed.
  • Then the same wipe over neck, chest, arms or underarms, using the clean side.
  • Before reapplying makeup, to start from a clean surface instead of building on the day.
  • After a flight, a class, or a long day of being outside.
  • Hands before eating when there is no sink.
  • Follow with the Face & Body Mist to rehydrate with the same formula.
  • Finish with the Face & Body Oil or the Multipurpose Balm to seal, depending on how dry skin feels.

How much. One wipe covers face and body. Work face first, then turn to the clean side for neck, chest, arms or underarms.

Notes. This is a cleanser, not a sanitizer, and it is not intended for eye makeup removal. The cloth is biodegradable; the individual sachet is not. Neither belongs in the toilet — both go in the trash.
